The Commander will always be one of our favorite UTVs, and it is one of the easiest UTVs to lift, with several quality bracket lift available for the popular dual purpose model. These kits move the upper shock mount out horizontally, changing the th Commander’s upper suspension geometry.  Most of these kits do require the replacement of the stock axles with heavy duty units, a good idea anytime you change a suspension’s geometry significantly.  Two of our favorite kits for the Commander are S3 Powersports and Stateline Custom’s bracket lift kits, both of which increase the Commander’s suspension a few inches and can be ordered powdercoated in black or yellow.

S3 powersport lift is a direct bolt-on kit that increases the Commander’s ground clearance a minimum of 3 inches.  The pre-load adjustment and addition of larger tires can increase the Commander’s ride height by up to 5.5 inches.  This Can Am Commander lift does not require any cutting, welding, or fabrication and it bolts to the factory mounting points.  The kit is made with durable plate metal that carries a lifetime structural warranty.

Stateline Customs is a Lousiana-based company that specializes in suspension components that can endure the demanding mudding environment.  Their 2.5” lift kit has been proven in mud pits all over the nation, and it was one of the first kits released for the Commander in 2010.  The kit will allow you to run up to a 30” tire, and the kit has been engineered strength and ease of installation into the kit.  The kit can be used with the Commander Limited’s air ride suspension, and it carries a full lifetime warrant.
